American Myra Anna Jaquet (1884-1971) was a Methodist missionary in northern China from 1911 to 1942. She worked as an instructor of girls at a missionary school in Peking (Beijing) and in Tientsin (Tianjin) at the Gamewell School. In December 1941, she was interned by the Japanese as a prisoner of war. She was repatriated to the United States in 1943 and lived in New York until her return to Tianjin in 1946.
